PMK is delighted to have delivered the electrical services for the prestigious new public realm development at Imperial College London’s White City Campus, supporting the creation of a landmark space designed to bring people, research, and nature together in the heart of West London.
Working alongside main contractor Careys and engineering consultants Waterman, PMK was appointed as the electrical contractor for this transformative project, which includes new vehicle and pedestrian access, a utilities bridge adjacent to the LUL Central Line, and the creation of public gardens and amenity spaces.
PMK’s comprehensive electrical services package included:
These services were crucial in ensuring the seamless integration of infrastructure across the site and aligning with Imperial’s goals for sustainability, connectivity, and innovation.
At the centre of the development lies a new public garden, officially opened by Imperial’s President, Professor Hugh Brady. Designed by acclaimed landscape architects GROSS. MAX., the half acre garden reflects the pioneering spirit of the White City Deep Tech Campus, featuring design elements inspired by chemical structures and biological membranes.
PMK’s electrical infrastructure supports the sustainable vision through the integration of energy efficient lighting and intelligent systems, contributing to Imperial’s broader net zero carbon goals.
As Imperial’s White City Campus evolves into a centre for groundbreaking research in AI, medtech, engineering biology, and climate science, PMK is delighted to have played a key role in laying the foundations of this dynamic and future focused environment, delivering electrical solutions that enable connection, collaboration, and innovation across the campus.
