Following strategic engagement with Starplan Furniture regarding statutory electrical compliance obligations under BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations), PMK’s Compliance division developed and submitted a structured proposal outlining the implementation of a comprehensive electrical inspection and testing programme across their Northern Ireland retail estate.
The proposed programme establishes a planned framework for periodic inspection and certification, supporting Starplan Furniture in maintaining regulatory compliance, operational resilience, and the ongoing safety of staff, customers, and assets across all locations.
As part of the initial phase of the programme, PMK successfully completed a full Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) at the Starplan Furniture Portadown store. The inspection involved detailed verification and testing of the electrical installation in accordance with current regulatory standards, with all observations documented using the recognised EICR classification coding system.
Planning is now underway to deliver phased inspection and testing across the remaining Northern Ireland locations throughout 2026, ensuring a consistent and proactive approach to statutory electrical compliance.
