PMK Secures Landmark Royal Academy of Music East London Project

PMK is delighted to announce that it has been awarded the electrical services contract by Gilbert Ash for the new Royal Academy of Music East London Campus at Orchard Place on the Leamouth Peninsula, London.

This landmark development will deliver a state-of-the-art rehearsal, teaching and performance facility for one of the world’s most prestigious music academies. The redevelopment will transform the Royal Academy of Music’s new East London campus, creating world class spaces designed to inspire and support the next generation of musicians.

The new facility will include four large acoustically isolated studios, ten fully equipped teaching and practice rooms, a theatre space, advanced recording facilities and a dedicated grand piano performance area, providing an outstanding environment for learning, creativity and performance.

PMK has been appointed to deliver a comprehensive electrical services package, including:

• Mains Switchgear and LV Distribution
• General and Emergency Lighting
• General Power
• Fire and Security Systems
• ICT / Structured Cabling
• Photovoltaic (PV) Installation
• Audio Visual (AV) Installation

The project presents a highly technical environment, requiring carefully coordinated electrical services to support specialist acoustic performance spaces, advanced recording technology and modern teaching facilities. PMK’s expertise in delivering complex electrical installations will play a key role in ensuring the building performs to the highest standards.
